The end of an era...

Monday, June 27, 2016

Members of the Wesleyville Hose Company made the roughly six hour trek from the Erie area to Bridgeport over the weekend to finalize the purchase of our Scott SCBA. Good Will, who throughout it's history exclusively used Scott, made the decision two years ago to upgrade our SCBA to the new MSA G1. With the changeout nearing completion, the decision was made to place the Scott SCBA on the market; Wesleyville was in the market to upgrade their SCBA from low pressure to high pressure and the rest is history. With the sale, Good Will will be able to purchase the remaining equipment to complete the outfit, freeing up funds for our sister company, Bridgeport Fire Co. No. 1, to begin the same.

Best of luck to the brothers and sisters of Wesleyville, we know the SCBA is going to a great home! Stay safe!
